CELTIC, Lower Danube. Uncertain tribe. Circa 2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 13.58 g, 3 h), imitating Audoleon of Paeonia. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. AVΛΩoΛEN - TOΣ Celticized horseman to right, wearing plumed helmet; below foreleg, pellet; below horse, triskeles-shaped punch. Pozzi (Boutin) 100 (this coin). Lanz 704-705. OTA pl. 32, 402.4 (this coin). A beautifully toned and very well pedigreed piece of fine style. Good very fine.
